 2024-25 Faith Formation Registration

Dear Parents,

In recent years we have encountered many issues obtaining the required paperwork for Sacraments.  Effective immediately, any child entering First Holy Communion or Confirmation class will be required to submit their long-form birth certificate and Baptism certificate at the time of registration.  Both forms are required to attend class.  This paperwork requirement also includes Sacraments that were received at Immaculate Conception.  Please note that the certificates are not kept on file from year to year.  You will need to submit these forms for each Sacrament class.  Children must be registered and attending class by September 8th for First Communion and September 9th for Confirmation 1 & 2.

Thank you for your cooperation and assistance.

Christy Warren, Faith Formation Director

RCIA - Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

RCIA is a journey in faith and this initiation process also involves a parish community     experience as it prepares and welcomes new members into the Church. It is a “spiritual journey” centered on fostering a deep relationship with Jesus and the Church he founded. This journey takes place through distinct stages over a period of time and commitment to the liturgical and moral life of the Catholic faithful.

Who is RCIA for?

· Persons in need of Baptism

· Persons baptized in another Christian tradition who would like to become Catholic

· Persons baptized in the Catholic Church in need of the sacraments of First Holy                     Communion and/or Confirmation
